Hinoki Cypress on the Rock

Hinoki Cypress Before

In 2000, I dug this Hinoki Cypress from my Garden. The top died and only two branches servived because of too much dog's fertilizer (if you know what I mean). I didn't know which one did it, still in process of investigting. During the Summer of 2002, the tree was finally healthy enough for me to began the initial training of carving and wiring. (see right picture)

Here is the tree in Spring 2004. Tree's height 7.5 inches. I planted the tree on the rock because I can not find a pot that would best complement the style of the Cypress.
