Shimpaku Juniper 'Itoigawa' Before

From the start, the stock juniper was trained by wiring in attempt to simulate the "Yamadori" style (left photo). After several years of continuious of pruning and wiring, I decided to restyle once again (right photo)

In early 2006, I repotted the juniper. I will do some carving on the trunk next year. The tree is currently 9 inches tall.
