This tree was acquired in 1998. The twisted trunk showed interesting structure. When I carefully studied for its development, I found that there were only two long roots. I first planted this tree into a bonsai pot with bonsai soil without cutting the roots. I began the styling by shortening the long shoots and wiring a few branches.
In the Spring of 2000, the tree grew a lot of new roots, I could then repot it into a final Tokaname pot. This picture shows how the tree looks in November 2000.
