This tree was purchased in May 1996
Three
years later, it was pruned to an apex branch and a right side branch. The apex
and the right branch were wired next.
To use the first branch, the
height of the tree would have to be 18 inches high to achive a good proportion.
SInce I wanted it to be a small tree, a new first branch was needed on the left
of the tree. A shoot from the first back branch was allowed to grow long and in
1997, it was grafted as a first branch at the left as wanted. |
